Bottle gourds, easy to grow from seed and best grown up trellis or fences to help retain their shape. They make excellent birdhouses, just leave them to dry, drill an access hole for the birds add a drainage hole or two and hang them up. Dried Bottle Gourd can also be decorated for ornaments and musical instruments.

Amish Pie Pumpkins

Sweet Corn is an organically grown bicolor corn that really lives up to its name! It has superb sweetness and tenderness and a crop time of only 75 days. 8” long ears with 16-18 rows of kernels. An (se) variety, it will hold its wonderful sweetness for 3-4 days after picking. Great fresh, but can also be canned or frozen.

Arizona Cypress Tree

Grow your Own Christmas Trees!

BOTANICAL NAME:    Cupressus arizonica  (koo-PRESS-us air-ah-ZON-ih-ca)

FAMILY:   Pinaceae (Pine Family)

TYPE:     Evergreen tree

HEIGHT:   40 to 50 feet reaching as high as 90 feet

SPREAD:   30 to 40 feet

Arizona cypress is an evergreen tree that reaches an ultimate height of 90 feet. It has stout horizontal branches and a conical or rounded crown or sometimes an irregular shape. Tends to be more upright when young and more spreading with age and has aromatic bluegreen, evergreen foliage.

CULTURE:  Arizona cypress is relatively easy to grow in most soils that drain well. Arizona cypress can be grown easily from seed. Germination occurs in 2 to 3 weeks. Cones can be open by sun drying prior to planting. Propagation by cuttings is also possible.

A smooth, four-lobed, blocky bell with thick walls and large fruit (4" x4"). Color changes from green to red as the fruit mature, and is delicious as either color. 75 Seeds minimum. Open-Pollinated, 75 days from transplant.
